Physical-Mechanical Properties of Sympodial Bamboo and Influence on Architecture Material Manufacture-中国期刊网

摘要 Twokindsofbigsympodialbamboo,D.YunnanicusHsuehandWhangee(D.MembranaceusMunro)andtheirphysicalandmechanicalpropertieshavebeenstudiedinthepaper.TheresultsshowedthatthewhangeehasbetterphysicalpropertiesthanthatoftheYunnanicus,suchashigherdensity,lowertangentialandlongitudinaldryshrinkages.ThatalsoshowedthatWhangeehasstrongermechanicalpropertiesinMORandMOE,compressivestrengthandshearstrengthparalleltothegrain.Comparedwithsomewoodspeciesusedinarchitecture,thephysicalandmechanicalpropertiesofthetwokindshavereachedtherequirementofsomewoodarchitecturestructurematerials.
