Location-dependent metamaterials in terahertz range for reconfiguration purposes

摘要 Weproposeanddemonstrateamultifunctionallocation-dependentmetamaterialintheterahertz(THz)rangeinwhichtheunitcellconsistsoftwopairsofcoupledresonators.Experimentalandsimulationresultsofourdevicesrevealthatbothpairsofthecoupledresonatorswillkeeptheirindividualresonancemodeswhentheyjointogether.Thus,theoveralltransmissionspectrumisacombinationoffrequencyresponsespectraofitscorrespondingconstituentparts.Whilechangingthelocationsoftheinnerresonatorsinourstructure,controllablewidthoftransmissionwindowandchangeablenumberoftransmissiondipscanberealized.Ourdesignprovidesafeasiblestructureformultifunctionalmicroelectromechanicaldevices.
