简介:Concreteinreinforcedconcretestructure(RC)isgenerallyundersignificantcompressivestressload.Toguaranteerequiredqualityandductility,varioustestshavetobeconductedtomeasuretheconcrete'scompressivestrengthbasedonACI(AmericanConcreteInstitute)code.Investigationsofrecentdevastatingcollapsesofstructuresaroundtheworldshowedthatsomeofthecollapsesdirectlyresultedfromthepoorqualityoftheconcrete.Thelessonlearnedfromthesetragediesisthatguaranteeinghighqualityofconcreteisoneofthemostimportantfactorsensuringthesafetyofthereinforcedconcretestructure.Inordertoensurehighqualityofconcrete,anewmethodforanalyzingandevaluatingtheconcreteproductionprocessiscalledfor.Inthispaper,theindicesoffitandstabledegreeareproposedasbasistoevaluatethefitnessandstabilityofconcrete'scompressivestrength.Thesetwoindicesarecombinedtodefineandevaluatethequalityindexofthecompressivestrengthofconcrete.Principlesofstatisticsareusedtoderivethebestestimatorsoftheseindices.Basedontheoutcomeofthestudy,aconcretecompressivestrengthqualitycontrolchartisproposedasatooltohelptheevaluationprocess.Finally,anewevaluationproceduretoassessthequalitycontrolcapabilityoftheindividualconcretemanufacturerisalsoproposed.
简介:Owingtothelongpropagationdelayandhigherrorrateofacousticchannels,itisverychallengingtoprovidereliabledatatransferforunderwatersensornetworks.Moreover,networkcodingisprovedtobeaneffectivecodingtechniqueforthroughputandrobustnessofnetworks.Inthispaper,weproposeaReliableBraidedMultipathRoutingwithNetworkCodingforunderwatersensornetworks(RBMR-NC).Disjointmulti-pathalgorithmisusedtobuildindependentactualpaths,ascalledmainpaths.Somebraidedpathsoneachmainpatharebuiltaccordingtothebraidedmulti-pathalgorithm,whicharecalledlogicpaths.Whenadatapacketistransmittedbythesenodes,thenodescanemploynetworkcodingtoencodepacketscomingfromthesamegroupinordertofurtherreducerelativityamongthesepackets,andenhancetheprobabilityofsuccessfuldecodingatthesinknode.Braidedmulti-pathcanmakethemainpathstobemultiplexedtoreducetheprobabilityoflongpaths.ThispapermainlyemployssuccessfuldeliveryratetoevaluateRBMR-NCmodelwiththeoreticalanalysisandsimulationmethods.TheresultsindicatethattheproposedRBMR-NCprotocolisvaluabletoenhancenetworkreliabilityandtoreducesystemredundancy.
简介:InvehicularAd-hocnetwork(VANET),manymulti-hopbroadcastschemesareemployedtowidelypropagatethewarningmessagesamongvehiclesandthekeyistodynamicallydeterminetheoptimalrelayvehicleforretransmission.Inordertoachievereliableandfastdeliveryofwarningmessages,thispaperproposesadelay-awareandreliablebroadcastprotocol(DR-BP)basedontransmitpowercontroltechnique.First,acomprehensivemodelisderivedtoevaluatethetransmissioninvehicle-to-vehiclecommunications.Thismodelconsidersthewirelesschannelfading,transmissiondelayandretransmissionscharactersoccurringinthephysicallayer/mediumaccesscontrol(PHY/MAC)layer.Then,alocaloptimalrelayselectionmechanismbasedontheabovemodelisdesigned.InDR-BPscheme,onlythevehicleselectedastheoptimalrelayscanforwardwarningmessagesandthetransmitpoweristime-varying.Finally,extensivesimulationsverifytheperformanceofDR-BPunderdifferenttrafficscenarios.SimulationresultsshowthatDR-BPoutperformsthetraditionalslotted1-persistence(S1P)andfloodingschemeintermsofpacketsdeliveryratioandtransmissiondelay.
