摘要
ObjectivesToreportauthors'experiencesinthediagnosisandtreatmentsofcongenitalfirstbranchialfistula(congenitalauriculocervicalfistula).MaterialsandMethodsTwelvecasesofcongenitalfirstbranchialfistulawerereviewed.Ofthese,8underwentfistulectomywithfacialnervedissectionandpartialparotidectomyand4underwentsimplefistulectomy.ResultsTheinneropenings(upperopening)offistulaelayinthefollowingsites:inferioposteriorwallatthejunctionofcartilaginousandbonysegmentsoftheauricularcanalandinferiorwallofcartilaginousauricularcanal.Theouteropenings(loweropening)layalongtheanteriorborderofuppersternocleidomastoidmuscle,atthemastoidtipandposteriortothemandibularangle.Completefistulaeresectionwasachievedinallbutonecase.Elevencaseswerefollowedfor5yearwithnorecurrence.Recurrenceoccurredin1case6monthsaftertheprimarysurgeryandrevisionsurgerywasperformed.ConclusionsPre-operativeradiographyforthelocationandcourseofthefistulaiscrucialforsuccessfulfistularesection,especiallyincaseswithpastinfections.Facialnervedissectionshouldbedoneroutinelyfordeeplylocatedfistulae.
