Theconstructionofanecologicalcityhastwofounda-tionalplatforms:thesmallplatform,namelyurbandistrictorsimplycalledas'cityecosystem';andthebigplatform,namelyaroundcitydistrictincertainregionscopeoralsoreferredtoas'city-regionecosystem'.Theconstructionofanecologicalcitymustbelaunchedinthedualspatialcriteria:incity(urbandistrict)criterion—optimizingthecityecosystem;incity-region(cityterritory)criterion—optimizingthecity-regionecosystem.Luoy-anghasthebrightcharacteristicandthetypicalimagewithincitiesofChina,andevenintheworld.Theconstructionofanecologicalcityindualspatialcriteria—thecityandthecity-region—hasthevitalsignificancetourbanizationadvancementandsustainabledevelopmentinLuoyang.Incity-regioncriterion,theprimarymissionofLuoyang’secologicalcityconstructionistocreateafineecologicalenvironmentplatforminitscityterritory.Incitycriterion,thebasicdutyofLuoyang’secologiccityconstructionistoenhancetheecologicalcapacityandbenefitofthecentralcity.
