摘要
Cityisacouplingsystemofeconomy,societyandenvironment.Theurbanenvironmentisasupportingsystemtothesustainabledevelopmentofcity.TakingtheurbanareaofChongqingasanexample,thispaperestablishestheindicatorsystemforassessmentofthecoordinationbetweenurbanenvironmentandeconomyaccordingtotheresultfromprincipalcomponentanalysesbysoftwareSPSS11.0.Meanwhile,theweightwasassignedforeachindicatorbasedontheloadofthefirstproperprincipalcomponents.Throughcomputationofthecoordinateddevelopmentmodelsetupaccordingtotheknowledgeofstatistics,thepaperdrawstheconclusionthatthesituationofthecoordinationbetweenenvironmentandeconomyinChongqingdevelopedwellfrom1996to2004.Finally,countermeasuresforthecoordina-tioninthecomingyearsareproposed.
