摘要
ThispaperexplorestheapplicationofArtificialIntelligent(AI)techniquesforclimateforecast.ItpresentsastudyonmodellingthemonsoonprecipitationforecastbymeansofArtificialNeuralNetworks(ANNs).UsingthehistoricaldataofthetotalamountofsummerrainfallovertheDeltaAreaofYangtzeRiverinChina,threeANNsmodelshavebeendevelopedtoforecastthemonsoonprecipitationinthecorrespondingareaoneyear,five-year,andten-yearforwardrespectively.Performancesofthemodelshavebeenvalidatedusinga'new'datasetthathasnotbeenexposedtothemodelsduringtheprocessesofmodeldevelopmentandtest.Theexperimentresultsarepromising,indicatingthattheproposedANNsmodelshavegoodqualityintermsoftheaccuracy,stabilityandgeneralisationability.
