Forecasting Monsoon Precipitation Using Artificial Neural Networks-中国期刊网

摘要 ThispaperexplorestheapplicationofArtificialIntelligent(AI)techniquesforclimateforecast.ItpresentsastudyonmodellingthemonsoonprecipitationforecastbymeansofArtificialNeuralNetworks(ANNs).UsingthehistoricaldataofthetotalamountofsummerrainfallovertheDeltaAreaofYangtzeRiverinChina,threeANNsmodelshavebeendevelopedtoforecastthemonsoonprecipitationinthecorrespondingareaoneyear,five-year,andten-yearforwardrespectively.Performancesofthemodelshavebeenvalidatedusinga＇new＇datasetthathasnotbeenexposedtothemodelsduringtheprocessesofmodeldevelopmentandtest.Theexperimentresultsarepromising,indicatingthattheproposedANNsmodelshavegoodqualityintermsoftheaccuracy,stabilityandgeneralisationability.
