摘要
TheYellowRiveristhecradleofChina.Ithadlongbeenthecenterofpolitics,economicsandcultureofChinainhistory.LargecoverageflooddisasteroccurredfrequentlyintheYellowRiverbasinandthelosseswereoftenheavy.Thus,theYellowRiverisalsoconsideredastheserioushiddendangerofChina.SincethefoundingofnewChina,structuralandnon-structuralsystemsoffloodcontrolhavebeenestablishedbasically.Tremendoussuccesseshavebeenmadeonfloodcontrol.Intothe21century,floodcontrolstandardoftheLowerYellowRiverhasbeenincreasedsignificantlywiththeoperationoftheXiaolangdiReservoir.However,problemsoftheYellowRiverarecomplicatedandthetasksforsolvingtheseproblemsarearduous.Particularly,thesedimentationproblemcan'tbesolvedcompletelyinthenearfuture.Thesituationof"suspendedriver"andthreatoffloodwilllongexist.Therefore,supportedbyrapidsocialandeconomicaldevelopmentofthenationandreliedonadvancedtechnology,thefloodcontrolsystemshallbeperfected.Meantime,studyoftheYellowRivershallbeenhancedinordertobetterunderstandtheflood,getwithitanduseitthustoreduceflooddisaster.
