Analysis of the electromechanical behavior of ferroelectric ceramics based on a nonlinear finite element model

摘要 Anonlinearfiniteelement(FE)modelbasedondomainswitchingwasproposedtostudytheelectromechanicalbehaviorofferroelectricceramics.TheincrementalFEformulationwasimprovedtoavoidanycalculationinstability.Theproblemsofmeshsensitivityandconvergence,andtheefficiencyoftheproposednonlinearFEtechniquehavebeenassessedtoillustratetheversatilityandpotentialaccuracyofthesaidtechnique.Thenonlinearelectromechanicalbehavior,suchasthehysteresisloopsandbutterflycurves,offerroelectricceramicssubjectedtobothauniformelectricfieldandapointelectricpotentialhasbeenstudiednumerically.Theresultsobtainedareingoodagreementwiththoseofthecorrespondingtheoreticalandexperimentalanalyses.Furthermore,theelectromechanicalcouplingfieldsnear(a)theboundaryofacircularhole,(b)theboundaryofanellipticholeand(c)thetipofacrack,havebeenanalyzedusingtheproposednonlinearfiniteelementmethod(FEM).TheproposednonlinearelectromechanicallycoupledFEMisusefulfortheanalysisofdomainswitching,deformationandfractureofferroelectricceramics.
