摘要
Withtherapiddevelopmentofdeepsubmicron(DSM)VLSIcircuitdesigns,manyissuessuchastimeclosureandpowerconsumptionaremakingthephysicaldesignsmoreandmorechallenging.InthisreviewpaperweprovidereaderswithsomerecentprogressoftheVLSIphysicaldesigns.Therecentdevelopmentsoffloorplanningandplacement,interconnecteffects,modelinganddelay,bufferinsertionandwiresizing,circuitorderreduction,powergridanalysis,parasiticextraction,andclocksignaldistributionarebrieflyreviewed.
