摘要 From264BCto146BC,thePunicWarsbrokeoutbetweenRomeandCarthage,whichlastedmorethanonehundredyearsintheancientwordhistory.Therewerethreewars,thisemphasizesthegreatinfluenceofthePunicWarsonRomanprovincialgovernment,culture,economy,militaryandRomans'concept.SicilyhavingbecomethefirstRomanprovince,Romansbegantoestablishprovincialadministrationintheirexpansion.Asamodelofrulingoverseas,theSicilianprovinceprovidedimportantexperienceforRomanswhowouldcarryouttheirlarge-scaleexpandingandruleintheMediterraneanworld.ThearticlealsodiscusseshowthePunicWarsmadetheRomancivilizationcloselyblendwithHellenism,thuscreatingthebrilliantGreco-Romanculture,andhavingbetokenedthatRomansimple,unsophisticated,hardworkingandthriftysocialatmospherehadsufferedthestrongshockinthemeantime.FurthermoreitdiscussesthattheslaverysystemoftheeconomywasrapidlydevelopinginRomeaftertheSecondPunicWar;andthatmeanwhile,Romancommanders'functionandpowerinofficewereoftenlengthenedandgrewmoreimportantinRepublicgovernment.AsthevictorofthePunicWars,RomebecametherulerofthewholeMediterraneanareain146BC.
