Verificationandvalidationareobjectiveandsubjectivemeasurementsofhearingaidfunction.Manystudieshaveprovidedrationalesforperformingthesemeasurementsasnecessaryforhearingaidpractitionerstoprovidethehighestlevelofcare.Severalresearchershavesuggestedthatcompletingthesemeasurementsaspartofroutineclinicalcarewillreducethenumberofreturnvisits,reducethenumberofaidsreturnedforcredit,andincreasepatientsatisfaction.Thepurposeofthisreviewarticleistoprovidebackground,methodandrationaleforpractitionerstousethesemeasurementstoimprovetheirpracticeofhearinghealthcare.
