Current Model Analysis of South China Sea Based on Empirical Orthogonal Function(EOF)Decomposition and Prototype Monitoring Data

摘要 Environmentalloadistheprimaryfactorinthedesignofoffshoreengineeringstructuresandoceancurrentistheprincipalenvironmentalloadthatcausesunderwaterstructuralfailure.Incomputationalanalysis,thecalculationofcurrentloadismainlybasedonthecurrentprofile.Thecurrentprofilemodel,whichisbasedonastructuralfailurecriterion,isconducivetodecreasingtheuncertaintyofthecurrentload.Inthisstudy,weusedprototypemonitoringdataandtheempiricalorthogonalfunction(EOF)methodtoinvestigatethecurrentprofileintheSouthChinaSeaanditscorrelationwiththedesignofunderwaterstructuralstrengthandthedynamicdesignoffatigue.Theunderwaterstructuralstrengthdesigntakesintoaccountthesizeofthestructureandtheservicewaterdepth.Weproposeprofilesfortheoverallandlocaldesignsusingtheinversefirst-orderreliabilitymethod(IFORM).Weextractedthecharacteristicprofilecurrent(CPC)ofthemonitoredseaareatosolvedynamicdesignproblemssuchasvortex-inducedvibration(VIV).WeusedrandomsamplingtoverifythefeasibilityofusingtheEOFmethodtocalculatetheCPCfromthecurrentdataandidentifiedthemainproblemsassociatedwithusingtheCPC,whichdeservecloseattentioninVIVdesign.Ourresearchconclusionsprovidedirectreferencesfordeterminingcurrentloadinthisseaarea.Thisanalysismethodcanalsobeusedintheanalysisofotherseaareasorfieldvariables.
