1.IntroductionCoalislistedinChina’senergypolicyasthepredominantfueltobeusedforthermalpowergeneration.ItincludesnearlythewholespectrumofcoalsthatChinahas,rangingfromanthracitetobrowncoal.ThisposesasituationtoChina’sutilityboilermanufacturersthattheirproductshavetocopewithallkindsofcoalavailable.Chinaisnowproducingafullrangeofutilityboilerswithca-pacitiesfrom35t/hthrough2000t/h.Theyhavesuccessfullyburnedanthracitieswithvolatilemattergreaterthan7%andlowgradecoalswithhighmoistureandhighashcontents.Theyburnbituminouscoalsandligniteswithsatisfactoryefficacy.
