SurfacePenetratingRadar(SPR)isarecentlydevelopedtechnologyfornon-destructivetesting.Itcanbeusedtoimageandinterprettheinnerstructureofthereinforcedconcrete.ThispapergivesthedetailsaboutacompactandhandheldSPRdevelopedrecentlyforreinforcedconcretestructuredetection.Thecenteroperationfrequencyoftheradaris1.6GHz.Notonlyithasfastacquisitionability,butalsoitcandisplaythetestingresultontheLCDscreeninreal-time.Thetestingresultsshowthattheradarhasapenetratingrangeofmorethan30cm,andalateralresolutionbetterthan5cm.Theperformancevalidatesthattheradarcanmeettheapplicationrequirementsforreinforcedconcretestructuredetection.
