摘要
AnewapproachtothemassiveproductionofTiCwhiskerswithhighpurityandlowcostwaspresented.Itisamodifiedcarbothermalreductionmethod(MCTR)characterizedbyargonstreamflowingverticallyandpassingthroughtheinteriorofthemixtureofrawmaterials.Itisfoundforthefirsttimethatthereisanoptimumflowoftheupwardflowingargonstream,atwhichlargequantityofhighqualityTiCcanbeobtained.Thispaperdescribedthenewmethod,analyzedthemechanismandconditionsfortheformationofhighpurityTiCwhiskersonalargescale,andcomparedMCTRwiththetraditionalcarbothermalreductionmethod(TCTR).Basedontheanalysisandcomparison,itisconcludedthatinordertoproducehighqualitytransitionmetalcarbides,nitridesandcarbonitrideswithlowcostTCTRmustbereplacedbyMCTR.
