摘要 Thedynamiccharacteristicsofthelargescalecoherentstructuresinaforcedfreeshearlayerareexperi-mentallystudiedbymeansofflowvisualization.ThequantitativemeasurementsareacquiredbytheuseofaLDV.Itisshownthatthedevelopmentofthecoherentstructurescanbegreatlyinfluencedbyupstreamartificialperturbationsandasaresultthemixinginthelayercanbecontrolled.Likevortexmerging,vortexsplittingisalsoacommonevolu-tionpatterninthedevelopmentofthecoherentstructures.
